I read book one and two over this past weekend. It was hard for me to get through but I kept reading to see how things resolved themselves in book two. I found the writing extremely disjointed and stilted, there was little character growth and the main characters lacked depth. I never felt swept up in their good moments, but found myself very frustrated with both of the main characters constant tit for tat behavior and overall immaturity. I kept reading hoping the characters to redeem themselves. Spoiler, they don't.
The level of drama these two went through makes it very hard for me to believe that they would have an ending that was neat and tidy.
