I enjoyed this one just as much as the first book in this series. Good development on this relationship between Deanna and Jeremy, and this one sees Deanna venturing out more.

I fucking love these books! I recommend this whole series to everyone!
It could’ve been more suspenseful when it came closer to the end. It was built up well but I just wish she took it further. It’s still a good book. It is the weaker one of the series but still a good read. It’s only one element in this book that will seem confusing in book 3 if you read it before this one, as I did.
A.R. Torre's second book in the Deanna Maddon trilogy, I magically found it in really good condition at a secondhand bookstore and just had to pick it up! I will say, straight up, that I didn't love this as much as the first book. I gave that 5* and I "only" gave Do Not Disturb 4*. So I still did really enjoy it!
I don't want to spoil anything for those who have not read book 1 (The Girl in 6E), so this'll be a spoiler free view. The themes which made 6E so great are explored further in this book, with a lot of character development throughout. It's definitely not stagnant from the first book. In both books there's a crime risk which causes big parts of the plot, and in Do Not Disturb this did disappoint me a little and was why it dropped a star. It just felt like it was over very quickly and didn't have any major impact or influence on anything. Given that it had such a build up from the very beginning of the book this was just a let down, but clearly it wasn't that much of a let down if I still gave the book 4*!
I did love how our main character struggled with her issues and her desires, whilst also growing into this new relationship that she has with the outside world. The sex-cam part of her life really dies down in this book, but not stupidly drastically, just in a way that makes sense for the plot progression and I enjoyed that.
Basically, if you read book 1 and enjoyed it I definitely recommend giving book 2 a shot. It might live up to your hopes, it might not, but you should still have a great time reading it!
Have you read any of this series? What did you think? Comment and let me know!!

This is the kind of book you read and wonder why you read it. I mean there are so many better books out there. A quick thrill? Sex? Porn? Baah!
I love the progression of Deanna as a character.
And although he may have a small role in the books, Jeremy is a dream muffin.

So this one had a bit of a slower start but it followed the same scheme and format of the previous book. It was still exciting and full of tension but you could already tell in which direction it was going. Still thoroughly enjoyed it.
SO MUCH WASTED POTENTIAL 😭
This book was so much fun to read for like the first two thirds of it. It was sexy, thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat - I LOVED IT.
But then everything the whole book build up to was soooo anti-climatic and just honestly boring. In the end something super unrealistic happened just out of convenience and I'm pissed 😓
Also other than our MC Deanna there isn't a single well written female character in this book and every single woman Deanna meets is immediately called a "bitch" and hated instantly. So much unnecessary girl-on-girl hate. Plus there are so many phrases that are implying that girls are weak and man are strong that it's kind of disgusting (ex.: "man up", "grow some balls", "he was being a pussy",......)
So yeah I had so much fun with this book at first and might continue with the series just because it's one of those guilty pleasure reads you can't help but enjoy even when they're being problematic... but honestly this book really disappointed me in the end and I'm just angry at end the last 50-100 pages of this 😑
