3.9 AVERAGE

This is a really strange book to dedicate to your dad.

I didn’t think it was possible but this book is EVEN better than the first book in the series and that is truly saying something because the first book was phenomenal. This one is just on a whole other level of greatness though, at times I almost couldn’t believe how good it was! Does it sound like I’m gushing? Because it feels like I am and you know what, I just can’t help it with this book! It is BLOODY AMAZING. I have never read anything like it before and I don’t think I ever will again quite honestly. It’s just so damn unique and original that it kind of blows my mind and leaves me in awe that someone could think up such a story. Long story short, I freaking loved this book and this series and I’m waiting very impatiently to get my hands on the next book!

4.5*

The sequel to The Girl in 6E, this book brings more of Deanna and more of what I loved from the first book. It’s definitely more sexual and more violent, but it was also way more addicting than the first. I can’t wait to read the third book!

"in this moment, his most vulnerable organ in get mouth, the impossible happens, and he falls even deeper in love." just one of the toe-curlingly awful lines ACTUALLY USED BY SOMEONE WHO IS A PUBLISHED AUTHOR in what a very poor follow up to a good first novel. dripping with sexism at every turn, it reads like someone tried to cross Hannibal with 50 Shades of Gray. I was ready to give up a third of the way through and if it weren't for a long coach journey with nothing else to hand, I would have. vile.

“Do Not Disturb” picks up where “The Girl in 6E” left off, with the reader rejoining Deanna about two weeks after the events of the first novel.

Having stepped outside once, Deanna is now taking massive steps at rejoining the real world - her relationship with her love interest steps up a gear, and even going as far as making a massive purchase on something we may take for granted.

Deanna’s online activities, however, leads a caged beast to make a more active interest in her, to the extent where the lives of her nearest and dearest are now in the firing line.

Told again, in a mixture of first and third person narrative, the short chapters make the story fast paced and lively, so you will finish it within a few days.

Again, there is scope for the reading of the third novel in the series, called “If You Dare”.

Another great thriller from Ms Torre!

Oooh, I am loving this series!

***Spoilers for The Girl in 6E***

Do Not Disturb follows our lovely psychotic cam-girl Deanna who, after the events of the last book, is attempting to live a sort of normal life by starting a relationship with Jeremy. Of course, she is still convinced she needs to be locked away at night, and she's still doing cam-girl work (no judgements here, a girl's got to make some money), but she's now opening up to the idea of being around normal people and dating Jeremy. However, one of her new clients (recently released from prison for brutally raping a young woman) gets a little too attached to Deanna, and decides if she won't accept his offers to pay for real sex, he'll just have to track her down and take it himself. Honestly, this guy is a complete and utter piece of shit, excuse my language.

I love love loved this book. It just had me on edge from the get-go, and I just devoured this book. It was great to see that Deanna was opening up more to a relationship with Jeremy, and how they were taking their time, even though you could cut the sexual tension between them with a knife (I was praying that they would eventually just bone haha).

The whole plot with Marcus was crazy. Like here we have a man who clearly doesn't think women are little more than a piece of ass for him to abuse and defile in any way he sees fit, so I was looking forward from the start for him to get his comeuppance. He was a total piece of shit. Good riddance to him!

Already started the next book because I need more of Deanna and Jeremy in my life!

Scarily good storyline with tension that twisted me into knots. I don't have a strong tolerance for gritty description of Deanna Madden's and others blood thirsty habits but I powered though some of those elements because of the characters and gripping story. I will of course have to return to Deanna for the final instalment.

SO SO SO HAPPY WITH THIS BOOK. THE SUSPENSE WAS KILLING ME BUT THE ENDING WAS JUST PERFECT. FULL REVIEW COMING ON MY BLOG SOON ❤️
