I read this book as an ARC and really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a slow burn, grumpy sunshine, enemies to lovers type book, then I highly recommend. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat the whole second half of the book. T.A. Lawrence, thanks for the opportunity to read your book! I look forward to book two!

Did not finish. Was very into it at first. Girl has a cool power of telling stories that come to life. She's super poor and has a mangled burnt face. Evil king dude needs a bride so to save her sister, she volunteers. He plans to sacrifice her but the story keeps him from doing so. I think the lack of development in current time and distraction of the story was too disjointing so couldn't finish.
