It's crazy what this lady did to people and got away with for so long. Hard to believe it is a true story.

"Enjoyed" this book about a tragic family story and the resiliency of the three daughters. Although I recognize that the state saw him as less culpable I feel as though the author and the daughters have Dave too much of a free pass for all of his actions.

This book was both sickening and well written. I can’t believe this is based on a true story.

Gave two stars because of the writing not the story itself

The descriptions of abuse and absolute torment were too much for me. The mother exhibits every type of abuse there is on her children and her housemate. Knowing this was based on a true story added to the horror.

This book was hard to read but in a good way. All of the terrible things the mom did were hard to stomach, but it kept me locked in.

Not for the tender hearted. Gregg Olsen paints a shocking true tale of abuse and murder and does it in his usual haunting way!
