Quick Summary: Strong female characters who defied the norm was the order of the day.

My Review: Nobody's Princess by Erica Ridley was a different type of period romance. I cannot recall ever reading a story where there were multiple female characters who defied the norm. I liked that! It was refreshing to see. In terms of K and G, their story came across as one of a reverse fairy tale mixed with action and adventure. Their parting and their reunion were memorable moments. It was good to see a HEA.

This was my first Erica Ridley novel. I am open to seeing what else she has written.

Graham helps Kuni evade her brothers as she works to prove her worthiness to serve as a royal guard. Graham and Kuni become entangled in an effort to help textile factory workers improve conditions. As they grow closer, will Kuni give up her dreams and her home for the man she loves?

Ridley is brilliant as always at creating unique, likeable, and entertaining characters. This story is heartwarming and rollicking good fun. Don't miss it!

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Nobody's Princess is a great addition to The Wild Wynchesters series. It delivers the same kind of hijinks as the first two books, albeit with a different kind of romantic tension. It's very nice to see Ridley being able to write a romance about two black characters. The diversity among the Wynchesters is really what makes this series so special.

Almost 3.5! I really enjoy this series, and the diversity and quirkiness that it offers. This one just felt so slow and drawn out, with a little unfocused plot for me. But I’m here for the Black leads in this regency romance and hope more romance novels continue to diversify and have fun like this one.

I seriously ADORE the Wynchesters and this third book in the series did not disappoint. This story features Graham, a man of color who goes through society doubly as an outcast - both because of his skin color and his lowly origins. He dreams of meeting a princess to help elevate/cement his worth and finds himself stumbling upon Kuni, an aspiring bodyguard from the far off country trying to prove herself.

I loved these characters and the found family Graham has with the Wynchesters. Even Kuni is unable to resist the Wynchester charm. The best part of these books for me are the diverse cast of characters and the way all the Wynchesters fight for social justice! In this book they band together to help improve the working conditions for women and child being exploited.

Great on audio this book is perfect for fans of Alyssa Cole or Beverly Jenkins. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

This third book in the series was just as romantic as the first two. The Wild Winchester series is easily my favorite historical romance series. The characters are fun and quirky, and the romance the aspect of found family is extremely heartwarming.

I think that Graham and Kuni's blossoming relationship was so fun to read and because of the external conflict you could really see deeper into the side of Graham that throws caution to the wind.
