Finished this—and I’m not joking—fifteen minutes before my best friend’s wedding. What a wild ride. Anne Rice you crazy crazy gal. Genuinely I think she’s one of the best writers of the past 100 years. NEED to put her inside a jar with Mary Shelley and shake them up to see what happens.

the philosophical conversations in tandem with the religious debates added much needed context to the immortal universe and the characters within it. i’ve grown to love lestat as a character because of his contradictory perspective on human life and how reflective he truly is.
