I don’t really understand the love for Tynion’s work. It’s competent but mediocre at best. I’ve also given Department of Truth, Something is Killing the Children, and his Batman run all a fair shake and I’m just not a fan, I guess.

This was not what I was expecting going into the graphic novel! The title made me think it was a haunted house story (tbh it could be). It was way more interesting than I expected and I am DYING to read the second installment. Very interesting, kept me on my toes. Perfect for horror/doomsday fans

Honestly I really enjoyed this and I am very mad that I have to wait two months to find out what happens because this really ends on a cliffhanger! For a first volume it was fantastic and I am definitely reading the second one.

What would you do to protect the people you love… from you? Would you become the enemy or the monster? How many ethical lines would you cross?

I don’t have a great answer. I don’t think this series has the answer either but damn does it try to explore it. Every character, no matter how morally ambiguous, somehow draws both empathy and criticism. If you want a book that makes you scream and cry and scream some more this is a good one.

Was it just me, or did anyone else think this was a story about a serial killer before reading it?

Anyways, enjoyed this crazy ride into the end of the world. Looking forward to the next volume.
