I love Sierra Simone and I’ve been reading this book mainly for the smutty parts for years. And I finally decided to finish it! And I really enjoyed it! What I love about Sierra Simone is that just as she writes the smuttiest smut, she will also incorporate these incredibly insightful reflections on life, faith and leadership and how kink intersects with all of these. It’s honestly amazing. Overall though, I liked this book! I was frustrated with the ending but I understood it. And it ended with a HEA.

Door of Bruises brings us on quite a journey of self discovery. Auden, Poe & Becket all truly will go to any length to save their friends and feel it is their own burden to do so. Rebecca has to decide if she wants to live her life alone or if she can forgive Delphine (who decides she wants more than just a mistress). Saint...has to make his choice-blind faith & love or be alone with glimpses of happiness.
Sierra did a phenomenal job of working things out for everyone and closing the Door.
