A well researched and readable book that covers some ground to say the least. Science, racism, capitalism & exploitation. Also the drive to find things out.
A very educational, yet heartbreaking read. Highly recommend to people pursuing or have careers in the STEM field!!!! I would have never learned about Henrietta Lacks and the unmeasurable legacy that her cells have left on the field of science and medicine.
I would definitely look up the trigger warnings, it’s a story about the interconnections between racism and science, so some parts were shocking/infuriating/grim.
