1,5 stars. I understand that this is not 'a book' but sill it didn't deliever much. I only enjoyed 2 stories of the whole thing.
I read the first 3 parts of the 'book', until the lists and definitions.
The summaries from the repository files were boring. The character stories were more interesting.
Schuyler/Jack - I couldn't care less about their drama. I hate Jack, and in the story there's a good example of why:
'...and therefore choose the easier path: to not think of her at all. I am a coward.'
Dylan/Hannah
I really liked to know more about what happened to Dylan. What a lovely boy he was.
Kingsley story
Yes, thank you! I was hoping we would get the end of that conversation at some point. I love Kingsley (and Kingsley/Mimi).

This novella read like a text book. I know it's a kind of who's who among Blue Bloods, but it was kind of dry. I did enjoy Kingsley's remarks in some areas. ;) I was stoked about the short stories in here. I know I've read the one with Dylan before, but it was great seeing the emotion of Jack on their last night at Perry Street. I recommend this for those that want to know more about the characters. Also, if you have a hard time with what the words in the Sacred Language mean, this book has a nifty little appendix with the definitions.
This is a great companion book to the Blue Blood series. While this book is not a new story in the Blue Blood series, it provides background information on the characters, the Blue Blood society and their legends.
This book gives you a great overview of the series and the main characters in the series, even providing new detail to characters you thought you knew all about. I loved how this book was organized, with files on each characters and on the Blue Bloods myths and then Melissa de la Cruz would have a short story after each file to go along with what you just read. I really loved the short stories that go with the book series. It was great seeing some events from different perspectives, or learning more about a characters life that Is unseen in the actual book.
Having not read the Blue Blood series in a while, this book helped to refresh my mind about what has occurred in the last books and made me extremely excited for the release of Misguided Angel. I loved learning more about the characters and seeing, in a way, how Melissa de la Cruz formed this complex Blue Blood series and created all these characters. This book is a must read for any fan of the Blue Blood series who wishes to learn more about the characters and events that take place in the books.

A fun and enjoyable companion to the Blue Blood books.
Keys to the Repository by Melissa de la Cruz is really a companion book to the series, rather than a continuation of the action. In the introductory letter from the author, Cruz says, “The Repository Files, which include character profiles, were written by rather crotchety historians who work for the humorless Committee, so you might find their estimation of the characters a little astringent.” (page 5)
The book chronicles the series up to the fourth book, provides some additional short stories/chapters that may have been cut from those books or that provide additional background to the story. In many ways, these short stories are the missing pieces or scenes that some readers may have wanted to see, like the big breakup scene between Jack and Schuyler or what happened to Dylan Ward when he disappeared. One of the most endearing elements of Jack and Schuyler’s relationship is the books that they share with one another, and upon their first meeting, he gives her The Plague by Albert Camus and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, two seemingly unrelated books, though both are about love and longing.

I suppose that for what this is, it's decent, but this really wasn't what I was anticipating sooooooo 2 stars it is.
I went into this under the impression it was going to be strictly novellas in the BB universe but this was a lot more than that. It was basically a summary of what has happened already in the series, it provides lots of character descriptions for everyone from major characters to the tiniest secondary character (literally just lists the names of some people). It is definitions of terminology used in the series, and lots of other useless information that I literally never asked for. Some of it does help clear up some of the events in the earlier books, but it just really wasn't necessary?
I wish that I had taken the time to read the reviews of this before I read it, because I probably would have skipped it. Or I would have waited to read this rather than placing it directly in the middle of the binge of this series.
Why did I keep reading it? I was hoping for more novellas, but unfortunately they were limited.
Hopefully the rest of the series picks back up since it will continue with the actual plot rather than whatever this was.

Pretty much just cliff notes for the Blue Bloods series.
This was okay. It helped refresh my memory since it’s been a while since I picked up this series, but a lot of it kind of dragged. Especially the glossary and some of the family profiles.
Awesome, loved reading the various stories, just really great!
love the fact the there was an extra book that gave etra details
