I.. Wow.
This was my first Murakami novel and it won't be the last at all. His prose and the story being told was amazing. I went into this novel, knowing The Beatles were a big role in the idea for the novel. Now I absolutely love The Beatles and it was why I was so excited about it. But what actually happened was that I was completely blown away by it. The story, yet simple was something that blew me away.
I was so attached to each and every character and the journey that each and every one of them went through. They each went through so much, such complex histories and stories to tell that made them such great people to read about. You felt for each of the characters and for what was going on in their lives. And there was so much death, so sad.
And not only The Beatles but Gustav Mahler, an amazing composer, was mentioned!
Absolutely stunning read, 100 percent recommend!
