First book I've read by this author; I got it for cheap on Kindle. The first half of the book was a good page turner. Then I got to the parts about Mary and her twin sister, the nun. It seemed like an inordinate amount of time was spent on the Catholic backstory and Mary's anger toward the Catholic church, and it began to bog down the narrative. Then, bam-- the killer is identified so quickly that I had to go back and read parts again to see if I'd missed something.
