I craved her like a drug, and this feeling consumed my every waking thought.
Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. Who she begins a sexual office fling with. This book was honestly boring and even with the smut, it felt like a chore to get through. It is written like fanfiction (it was fanfiction) and even though it's based on twilight a book I love, I still couldn't bring myself to care about the characters. Rating this a two for the quality cringe moments.

Pretty standard plot line for a steamy romance novel. I do think the authors do an awesome job at writing sex scenes.
Meh. It didn't need to be that long, there's no plot, and someone clearly could not be bother finding names that weren't taken from Twilight.
4 Stars
I LOVE that beautiful bastard Bennette Ryan! And absolutely every part of this book. Sooooo good!
And seriously HOT! Talk about steam factor (multiplied by 100!).
I really love romantic storylines with enemies turned lovers, so this book was definitely right up my alley. All the goading & bickering, which of coarse inevitably leads to sex ... yep, I'm drooling right now just thinking about it. And can we talk about how they called eachother Mr. Ryan & Msiss Mills constantly ... OMG - so hot!
There was a bit more to the story than just sex & bastard antics ... but more of an actual story would have been good. We got some decent character development, but it was really very limited to the relationship between our 2 main characters ... and it felt a little unfinished (certainly room for more books). The secondary characters were well written, although very minor players in the story ... I especially liked Bennette's family (great dynamic).
And, yes I live under a rock b/c when I read it, I had no idea it was originally written as fan fiction.
I'd like to read the rest of this series really, really soon.

I Dint Know Why I Didn't Read This Sooner
For years my fellow book worm and cousin had been suggesting me to read this book. I finally got some free time and got to read this fine piece of hot fiction.
I loved it so much I don't know why I didn't read it sooner. The characters are so well-written and relatable. Chloe's strong will and never-back-down attitude were characters I admired. Never giving into the Beautiful Bastard's harsh words or criticism. I also liked that she was vulnerable. She was tough but soft. And Bennett...not enough words for our hot as sin Exec. This man was as stubborn as they came and as hot as they have ever been written. It took breaking them both to get them to come around. Well done ladies. Loved. Loved. Loved. This book.
Don't be like me and wait years to read this book. One-click it now.

A solid 3.5 stars.
"Beautiful Bastard," the nickname Chloe Mills and friends have given her boss, Bennett Ryan, is nothing if not appropriate. From the get go, we are introduced to a fiery duo-boss and assistant-with quick tempers and equally intense chemistry.
Chapter one opens with bang (snort) and a lovely view (cough) of the city from the windows of the conference room on the eighteenth floor (or maybe it was the seventeenth. IDK and either way it's really not important). From there it's a battle of wills and bodies until they both break... but I'm getting ahead of myself.
So let me start with what I liked:
I enjoyed Chloe's fire. It's clear she is passionate about her work and very hardworking. She loves her dad and cares about others. She was endearing, even if I didn't agree with her choices. Sex with the boss is never a good idea. Bennett was equally great. I mean what's not to like about an intelligent, sexy man who wears tailored suits? But in all seriousness, Bennett is a solid, swoony character, and as we moved along, it became clear how deep his feelings were... and how confused he was along the way.
BB is a classic take on forbidden love (and sex, a lot of it, in this case) between boss and assistant but it's anything but standard. I enjoyed the layers--Chloe's scholarship/internship, her relationship with Bennett's family, her longstanding place at the company, and the lack of previous relationship hang ups--the authors added because it gave their story more depth without a bunch of drama.
With that said, I found myself longing for them to work through the ambiguity faster than they did, to actually TALK instead of always resorting to sex. Don't get me wrong, I like sex as much as the next girl, but in this case it was simply too much for my personal taste. It felt like every interaction they had was followed by some form of sex, and in some cases it felt completely unbelievable. After about the fifth or sixth explicit scene, hot though they may have been, I realized I was just skimming them for the dialogue because I was desperate to get where they were coming from. And unfortunately, when the sex finally shifted into "more than just sex" I was at my saturation point and couldn't fully enjoy it like I wish I could have.
The end of this book elevated this from just smut to an actual story for me. We finally got a healthy dose of plot and dialogue and emotion from them that didn't involve sex, and it made me want them to figure things out all the more. I found myself rooting for them... and longing for a little panty ripping. ;)
This ain't your mama's old school romance novel, people. It's hot. HOT. And a good fun read that left me wanting (in a good, curious sort of way) for the sequel coming out in the spring.

A few years ago the only things I read were fanfics and this was after the twilight explosion. A friend of mine introduced me to fanfics and I read them all day, sometimes thinking the end was better than the original, other times it was pure genius the person who could imagine those plots.
Most of them, were really good and remember reading the office along with everyone soon to it’s release, but the book actually took me awhile to dive into, because I was thinking the story would be too different than the original and that I still have Edward as my perfect guy to fit this plot.
I read a few reviews and the most common point for people to “hate” the book, was how we just jumped in the middle of action, but I’m just fine with that despise the characters showing different names I still think of them as Bella and Edward.
I liked Chloe, she’s kick-ass and very responsible, but a few times she just accepted her body and decided to enjoy the moment, Bennett is a jackass, but has a nice body, and for that, the girl could enjoy a few minutes of heaven without no problems from me.
But I think the actual relationship needed more conversations, mutual ground and more normality I think, because it felt like the book ended the same way it started. If the purpose was that it could had been a little shorter.
