Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1) by Christina Lauren – I’m fairly certain Sara recommended this to me AGES ago, but it’s been languishing on my TBR for years. I inhaled it over the course of two days, and I will be back for the rest of the series post haste! That was some A+ groveling! Though my frugal self would have started wearing cheaper underwear lol! Happy Reading!
it's just not that good... Christina & Lauren have grown a lot since this book. Beautiful Stranger and Beautiful Player are both much better.
Steamy
A little interesting following the #metoo movement but I enjoyed the story. A lot steamier than I normally read but the storyline was enjoyable too!

They really went to town with this book huh?
I want to say that this book is pure smut but it does have some plot. And it's not one of those books that tried to have a plot so bad when it's just pure smut. It's still enjoyable!

Dnf at 66% :/
Smut was alright but it got boring as hell, nothing really happened even though it was short. Just couldn’t see the point in finishing it.

Beautiful Bastard is a fantastic romance novel. Chloe is nearing the end of her internship when a sexual relationship begins between her and her boss, Bennett. Chloe is obviously worried about how this new relationship could affect her future career.
The character and relationship development is well written and realistic. The story has just the right amount of satire. Each chapter is devoted to either Chloe or Bennett's point of view. The switch between points of view is well done. I liked getting to read how both characters feel and think about their situation. The minor characters are well developed and are given a fair amount of attention to compliment the overall plot.
True to the title, Bennett is a beautiful bastard. I wasn't really sure how I felt about him until closer to the end of the book, when he starts opening up to Chloe and his non-professional asshole self starts to emerge.

There wasn’t enough plot to keep my attention. The spice was very repetitive and boring. There also wasn’t enough shared about the characters to make them interesting.
