How am I bored by this after like 50 pages? I know my teenie-self would be drooling over all those sex scenes but they just got me sitting here and questioning my attraction to men.
Some of the dirty talk was nice, but other than that the pure hate between those just screams THERAPY and PLS BE CONSENSUAL at me.
Also the dude, I forgot his name, is OBSESSED with girly (also forgot her name)!? He keeps her fucking slips (that he RIPPS every time) in a drawer, like? This doesn't feel kinky it just feels weird and stalker-like. Also his goddamn OBSESSION with him having to "have her" is giving me serious toxic masculinity vibes and also his thoughts about him not being able to control himself and his dick - DUDE this is not funny or sexy at all, it scares me okay?
I know this is not reality but still, this gives off so many wrong vibes I hate it.
To be fair, I will not finish this book, so it might get better? I do not care tho, those two have too many issues for me.

This book started out very Wham, Bam, Thank you ma'am. Then it took a turn and turned into a romance between two very confused and conflicted people. Chloe is a strong sassy girl that just wants to make it on her own, and I actually thought she was more of a B then Bennett was a B, And I mean that as a compliment. I always enjoy a love story when both people are equally strong, sassy, and invested. I definitely enjoyed the second half of this book more than the first, because I like a little relationship with my sex.having said that, i'm definitely going to read more books in the series.

This power dynamic is just not hitting in 2025. I remember the fanfiction and enjoyed it, but this is just not okay now.

God, this was horrible. It couldn't have been written that long ago so how, in the #metoo era, did anyone think it was a good idea to have the romantic hero of their novel, grope their intern within the first few pages of the book? And then that groping leads to immediate sex? It is just too much. It's not that people can't write about workplace romance anymore but these characters presumably hated each other on page 1. Then the boss who has 100% of the power in this situation makes a grab for the intern. No talking, no banter, no chemistry. Not ok.

For all the hype, this wasn't very good. No real character development. I don't know much about either lead character. It was just sex. Nothing wrong with that. I was just expecting more.
