nope, it wasn't even entertaining.

there's no actual plot, they hate each other, they sleep with each other, they hate each other some more, then they don't

3.5 Stars

I wanted to LOVE this. For me though, it fell a bit flat. I would have liked to know WHY they hated each other so much. He was just a dick for no reason? I don't buy it. Then out of the blue after 9 months he can't take it anymore and needs to have her? Hmmm...something doesn't add up.

Then they are together...ALL THE TIME and EVERYWHERE!!! I am talking everywhere, elevator, stairwell, conference room, car, hotel room, office, bathroom, etc. It was so forkin' hot too.

Are there any relationships anymore that are based on being compatible anywhere other than the bedroom? I mean, they never talked about anything except work and they had sex. I guess I don't understand how you can love someone and not really know them or know anything about them.

I really did love Bennett and Chloe, but I wanted more from them other than sex and work. An Epilogue would have been nice too, since the next book Beautiful Stranger is about Sara.

3.5 stars. the second half was a lot better than the first half.

This was my second time reading this book and I could just say it was for a refresher before I continue with the rest of the series but honestly I remembered how refreshing it was and wanted to reread it for a break from the mundane.

The main characters are Bennett and Chloe. Bennett is Chloe's boss and the perpetual bastard to her, slamming doors and treating poorly. That is until the two are along in a conference room and their relationship changes from being coworkers to lovers. It's a pretty big leap and the two struggle with it for a while but they find a middle ground and even happiness towards the end.

The secondary characters are mainly Bennett's family members who play more of a part in this book than families normally would.

The storyline isn't the most original but it is brilliantly executed and I especially love the male POV. The pacing is good although I felt it was a little rushed towards the end.

5 stars now on with the rest of the series.

Got a smidge boring towards the end, but I still definitely enjoyed this one.

3.5 starts!
I listened to this book on audible and the narration was so good. I really enjoyed listing to Bennett and Chloe’s story. They had such great banter, steam and chemistry between them.

was it the most amazing book ever written? no. was it pretty trashy? yes. did i still devour it? yes, i most certainly did. normally books like this violently give me the ick, so idk why this one didn’t bother me. it was straight to the point, the characters actually communicated, and deep down the mmc always had a heart. honestly there wasn’t much plot lol, but i think i just needed something quick to get me out of my reading slump.

This was another addicting read from the Christina Lauren duo but I felt like the relationship was just too much for me. There was no basis for how everything unfolded and that left me uneasy for a lot of the book.
fast-paced

Fun, but also very steamy! Predictable enemies to lovers that delivers on the “sessy”
