3.5⭐️ My only previous experience with Christina Lauren is their more recent work and this couldn’t be more different.
It leans a lot closer to smut than romance. Not a ton of plot or relationship development. Bennett is a bastard and I don’t have a thing for rude bosses, but there was plenty of heat and I was here for it.

I really enjoyed this! I found myself a little obsessed with the male love interest. If you liked the Hating Game this is similar but way more sex.
Chloe wasn’t my favorite main character but she wasn’t awful.
I enjoyed the story and really enjoyed seeing it go from lust to something more.

Sizzling chemistry straight away. Bennett and Chloe have a lust/hate working relationship. Some of the plot is pretty flimsy, but with chemistry this hot? Who really cares? Some of it is ludicrous. Conflict is there purely for conflict sake, but I enjoyed it as a light-hearted read.

I really don't know if we should rate these books on a 50 Shades of Grey scale or a normal literature scale. On the former it would get closer to a 3.5, on the latter, a mostly generous 2.

It was alright. I was expecting it to be better than it was. Hated how it started. I liked Chloe, I think she stood up for herself well. Bennett wasn't my favorite, he didn't have that much to him really. It was over-talked about for me, I expected it to be better.
I rarely say this but I needed more plot less spice. Still an enjoyable read.
