I’ve really liked other books written by Christina Lauren, but I really didn’t like this one.
It majorly lacked substance. The first non-work related interaction between the two main characters was 10000% workplace sexual harassment. Really? A straight up ass grab without any flirting or indication from her that she’s even interested? Especially after treating her poorly and verbally abusing your employee? I mean come on.
Their whole dynamic was just so confusing to me and completely lacked chemistry. The character development fell so flat, and the FMC repeatedly made really naive and dumb decisions.
I would have DNF’d if I was the type to.

I bought this a while ago and I picked it up before and put it down because I found enemies to lovers in a workplace really doesn't work when it's a boss/employee and the boss takes out their dislike on their employee by giving them too many tasks/tasks not suitable for their position. But I picked it up again (for a reading challenge) and gave it another shot. I've read and enjoyed Christina Lauren's other books so I really thought Beautiful Bastards would click for me, or at least deal with the boss misusing their power thing. (No matter how much the book tried to tell me that he was only a boss from hell because he was impatient and a perfectionist with high standards (that he held himself to), I'm not going to believe that when what is on page completely differs)
But no, the book did not. It was remarked upon once but Bennet didn't really change his behaviour at all or do any serious reflection on it. The third act conflict was a little stupid in my opinion. Chloe, if you don't want your career to be impacted by your relationship, maybe don't suddenly resign from your job and possibly torpedo it . I didn't really believe that Chloe and Bennet could work as a relationship. I believe they were very attracted to each other but love? Really not. And honestly by the end I was more than a little bored of the whole thing.
No interest in continuing the series.
Solid 3.5 stars. Definitely a sexy book and well written steamy scenes. The character development and story development just needed a teensy bit more work on it.

lmao no plot line and i’d be so mad at all the ripped lingerie but read it in one night ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A decent read with not much of a plot but the steaminess almost made up for it. The only thing I'm confused about is that I've heard this is a Twilight fan fiction. Really? I see no similarities whatsoever.

Wanted to read an enimies to lovers / hook-up to lovers book. And it was exactly as I expected. The characters, plot, romance and everything wasn’t special or original. I still enjoyed reading it. It was not very long with a lot of spicy scenes from start to finish.
