The ending made no sense, Wren didn’t want power so it made no sense for her to betray Oak that badly. I loved Folk of Air and I didn’t think it needed a spin off and I felt this book was trying to make Wren and Oak like Jude and Carden, but it just doesn’t work. I really liked Wren in the beginning but I feel like some of her actions didn’t match how she was written as a character.

this is the perfect addition to the cruel prince series.
I love the idea of Oak and Suren having their own story!

it was at first a little slow to get into the story and I don’t like the ending but the rest of the book is sooo good that I gave it 4 stars. I hope the second book somehow saves the ending.

I became a big fan of Oak, his personality is so charming and attractive in a completely different from Cardans but I’m here for it.

can’t wait for the second book :)
