I liked this one a lot. I really liked the Desert setting, and to read about another place in the Septimus Heap-universe (though Kaznim was a bit of a annoying character from time to time). In PathFinder I didn't really like Tod, Oscar and Ferdie as much as Jenna, Beetle and Septimus -- but in this part they finally became more outspoken characters which was nice (though the old trio is still way awesomer). I also liked reading about my fav. characters when they're my age. Makes me feel a bit less old.

I can't wait 'till the next part. But on the other hand, that's the last one of the series so when it comes out it'll be probably the last new book about the Septimus Heap world. And that's sad :(

Tod is now an extraordinary apprentice wizard but the orm egg is miles away and lots of adventures await Tod and her 2 best friends as well as another girl who might help them or betray them.  Another great story by Angie Sage.  Wish there were a dozen more.  This is a series I could listen to again and again.

Loving this series so far. I really enjoy the number of characters she brings in to bring richness to her world.
