I loved this book.

I liked the way that the story flipped back and forth between the present and the past. I loved the characters. I didn't foresee the issue that Bridget was worrying about, which is nice. I loved seeing the personal growth that Lucy went through. Clearly, I enjoyed this book.

I really want to visit Prince Edward Island now. I felt peaceful every time Lucy went to visit. I also want to read Anne of Green Gables again.

As a child of an Aussie and a Canadian I loved this. Loved the setting of PEI, loved all the Anne of green gables references. This one is a truly great holiday comforting read. And the sex scenes are super HOT. Not complex or challenging but very readable and enjoyable. Particularly as a woman in her 30s trying to figure out what the hell you’re doing!

Loved this novel - I’m glad I gave it a shot, because initially, I passed it over to read one of Carley Fortune’s other books (Meet Me At The Lake) I really liked this story, though! It was sweet and moved at a good pace. Lucy was a character that I understood and empathized with.
Also, I grew up as a hardcore Anne Of Green Gables fan and this book takes place on PEI, and had tons of Anne references, which I totally adored - sooo much nostalgia! Such a Great, breezy summer read
Recommend ♡︎

P.S. If you were ever a Gilbert Blyth fan (gilllllty) he gets his fair share of shout outs in this book!

(I’m not 100% sure why but this book just felt like “August” by Taylor Swift to me!)

This book was really good, just like her others. But not my favorite of the three she has written. I think the book was written beautifully and Felix and Lucy’s chemistry was amazing throughout the book. I loved their story and how they were always pretty close. The only thing that was different from this book than her other two books was it didn’t switch back to past and present every chapter, and I felt like Felix and Lucy’s past could have been expanded on more. Like where did the love start developing and when did they realize they couldn’t live without each other? This book didn’t have as many cliff hangers or plot twists as the others, which is why I wasn’t as engaged. But this book was so good and I would read it again.
