Alexandra is a great character and the story flows rather well. It gets predictable since the sinopsis pretty much tells it all. I still don't enjoy the fact that ALL women are at one hand: "independent women", but all end up being virgins who gave themselves to the man they will marry. I think Alexandra suffer would be bigger if she ended up losing her virginity with that English guy and then Petroff really accepted her for who she was.

As with all early 90s historicals, there was some questionable consent in the kissing and language around sex. But overall, a very engaging enemies to lovers story.
