The only female character that is not in a domestic submissive role has phrases associated to her such as  “striding among them [men] like an equal” and “walks with the freedom of a man”.
Isaac Asimov had enough imagination to create a word millennia into the future with advanced technology, but couldn’t imagine a world where women are equal to men.

I liked the first book in the series more as I feel like the pace has shown dramatically. That said, moving straight into the third one now.
