i liked this book it was okay..
I liked the poems they really hit home but I think they’re straight to the point and they don’t have a poetry feel to them.
Rupi doesn’t use a lot of alliteration, symbolism or any of that good stuff I’m just left with this basic poem yk
The topics she writes about are by no means easy or dismissed by me. She is a very brave woman!

It was concise but complete in many ways. Yes, now I can understand why this book is praised much. I am convinced that every kind of poetry is required for us to move forward, and Rupi Kaur did an amazing job keeping the book light and fulfilling.

Milk and Honey
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trigger warnings:
Incest
Pedophilia
Rape
Sexual abuse (from family members)
Use of ableist language
Sexism
Alcoholic parent
Absent father
Emotional abuse
Racism
I've wanted to get into poetry for a while, and this was kind of a brutal start, but I loved it nonetheless. I resonated with some parts of this a little too well, and I look forward to reading more of Rupi Kaur's work. This was truly beautifully written, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience poetry.
