Okay, I absolutely loved this book. I love that the romance between Saraya and drake is secondary to the story line. I love how Drakes character was explored more and we see his side of the story. Watching Saraya's power grow is wonderful and she grows in power and character. That cliffhanger though! How could you do that to me?? I am in desperate need of the 3rd book.
I couldn't deal with MMC pretty much becoming Magical Tarzan after being unbound
I love this. So much better than the first book especially because Drake's character was explored more. I didn't feel invested in Drake's character in the first book but that was understandable so now I'm glad that that's rectified. I also love the way the real villain was revealed because all this time I thought Havrok was it and felt kinda disappointed because he seemed kinda lame for a villain especially considering the fact that both Saraya and Drake has too much power. Speaking of power, I absolutely love the way Saraya just keeps on getting more and more power as time goes on. Like she started as a midwife and then a warrior and now she can wield lightning. Her and Drake are definitely such a compelling power couple. Also, another thing that I liked is the fact that while they clearly love each other, It's evident that Drake loves her more than she loves him. I love how the romance aspect of it all is secondary to the storyline and that even if Drake is such a powerful entity, Saraya is still clearly the main character of the story.

The second book in this series was absolutely amazing & of course again ended on a cliff hanger. I can’t wait to read the third book to see what happens. I loved the progression of Saraya & Drake. The story is so unique & I absolutely love the midwife aspect of it.
