The beginning of book two of this trilogy was EVERYTHING you could ever want in a book. The tension! The stakes! The romance! The bad assery! And then somewhere in the middle we hit a wall of pacing and rough patch of snoozeville. I hate it when your characters finally SPOILER get together and then the book falls flat. I really do love this series though. It’s so unique and cool! I’ll be reading book 3 but I’m really hoping for something fun…

the end filled me with rage tbh. how she rejected him? felt like purely a plot point with almost no build up to it. also, there were so many different options than that. so unnecessary.
