Heard lovely things, but I just could not finish this book without skipping ahead, looking for spoilers, or just giving up on following the story. Quick and easy read, but there was too much going on that just didn’t flow and so much potential in the romance or murder mystery to it, but just didn’t feel finished…
funny lighthearted medium-paced

Entertaining - just what you want from Elinor Lipman. I liked the idea of the two protagonists being on home confinement - with their matching ankle monitors. Not too deep or thinky but amusing.

Really wish you could do half stars. 3.6 stars for me! It was a very cute story with some wild curveballs thrown in. It could have been written more cohesively but overall it was very enjoyable with a good ending.

This was fun! A light, slow burning romance, set in NYC, between two people who are on house arrest for 6 months in the same building. Lots of twists and turns. Not steamy, very G rated.

So much promise in the storyline, but the execution was quite sloppy and chaotic.

3.5 stars. Light, funny, entertaining story about two New Yorkers serving sentences of home confinement in the same posh apartment building. Hard to feel too much sympathy, given the levels of privilege these characters have... but it's all quite silly and flippant, and not meant to be taken too seriously.

A good paced read that was chaotic - multiple story lines somehow linked together to our protagonist Jane. I could have done without a few extra plots but overall an enjoyable read.

Light entertaining but very very predictable. I have read Elinor Lipman for years but this one seems a bit too tidy for me. Not very thought inducing.
