DNF. As a junior attorney, this was such a struggle to read. It tried very hard to be cheeky but the characters were flat.
I read this because Judy Blume recommended it in the Times book review. Very New York, very easy read, I giggled.
This book seemed to drop its promise and premise off of a NYC apt building...
Too many different plot lines. I thought it was like the Rosie Project when Perry gave her his “proposal”, so I got excited— and then the book flipped, and I thought we were dealing with a mystery, and then the book flipped and it was another topic.
It was a short read, so I stuck with it, but not my favorite.

Liked the idea of this book, woman attorney suspended and on house arrest for public indecency, meets someone else in her building also on house arrest. It fell a little flat for me with the side arcs of her friends and neighbors and the tiktok piece.
