This book is an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the trilogy - it ties together so many threads from the previous books, really giving Breq’s story a meaningful finale… whilst leaving many more background plots tantalisingly untethered.

The payoff (9 T^T)9
Absolutely obsessed with
everyone and their mother on Athoek Station (including Station itself) deciding that maybe it really is just for the best if we shove The Lord of the Radch (TM) into a closet and tell her to mind her own business somewhere else 🤭

Also huge shout out to Breq for
using the treaty with the Presger against Anaander Mianaai
— I feel like it has been a long time coming and it was soooooo satisfying

Didn't live up to the promise of the first novel. Way too much stupid interpersonal stuff that added nothing to the story.

This one was better than the last one, and I INHALED it. I like how the issues were resolved and it stayed lowkey. I kinda wish some things, like the ghost gate, were given a more meaningful justification or send off. Also kinda pissed about Seivarden, I feel like the character was skimmed over. Considering she was one like the first person we met, I wish she'd gotten more fleshed out. Tisarwat was well done tho. Idk, I enjoyed these books but there's room for improvement.
