What a sick and twisted bookšŸ˜± The narration was chefā€™s kiss, god, so funnyšŸ’• Even if he didnā€™t kill anyone in this book, his demented mind wanted to do something wrong. Oh god, Nomi, I know youā€™re a victim, but her ā€œconfrontationā€ with Joe at the latter part of the story made me uncomfortable. šŸ˜” Mary Kaye, you seemed fun and daring. Even if the whole town judged you hard, you rose and tried to be happy again. The story is, as always, so problematic; the Love scenes, goodness gracious. The writing style was so gripping and exciting. And oh my god, the narrator in the audiobook companion was top notchšŸ’•

Is this the least cringe Joe Goldberg has ever been? Maybe it only seems that way because he's not saying pussy in every other sentence during his monologues anymore.

NO spoilers: I felt like this novel was all over the place and it made it difficult to stay interested in the story. It is different than the 3rd season of the show though, which I appreciated. But Loveā€™s character was mostly uninvolved in this book besides one occasion and even that was underwhelming compared to the show.

This is the third book of the YOU series. Although I didnā€™t love it as much as I did the first two I still enjoyed it and the twists at the end. Joe Goldberg came back soft he is not the murderous man it was in the first two he got out of jail and took a new outlook on his life. Iā€™m upset since Iā€™ve been told this book doesnā€™t match up much to the newest season on Netflix which I knew from the beginning because the trailers all showed Love and Love wasnā€™t in the book until the very end which kind of made it a slight disappointment for me but thatā€™s my fault for seeing the Netflix trailers.

Caroline Kepnes knows how to do a good plot twist. Iā€™m surprised I followed Joe to the third book and I always think Iā€™m not going to want the next book but the last chapters are always SO entertaining.

man mkā€™s whole family is just so messed up but NOMI AT THE END oh my god crazy. Sheā€™s the first character in this whole series that I would be okay with having a spinoff book. also the Johnny Bates show Oliver writes LMAOOOOO i see u caroline kepnes.

Iā€™m already in so deep so Iā€™m definitely going to pick up the next book. I Hate to Love Joe <3

This one I felt was much different from the other You books in the fact that I was rooting for Joe to be actually be better. Even though, anyone who has read the book or watched the show knows he should not be redeemed. But I think thatā€™s why I love these books so much. We know heā€™s a psychopath stalker turn serial killer and yet, since we read it from his point of view and in his head, sometimes it feels justified. Only slightly lol. Then you remember from the other characters point of view and youā€™re like oh yeah heā€™s in the wrong

example: all the people he runs into. Itā€™s like I agree with Joe, everyone else is horrible. Melanda, Phil, Ivan, Shortus etc. They all has their flaws. And yet, Joe is possibly (except Shortus, which btw was a crazy twist. And he deserved what he got) the worst of them all and we forget that. Because we are in his mind, and in his mind heā€™s right. Heā€™s the savior. And itā€™s crazy he didnā€™t even kill anyone in this book!! And yet, indirectly he killed them all. Insane.

I really liked this one. And Iā€™m so excited for the next one. The only problem I had was the beginning was very slow paced to me. Took me forever to finally get through it and get intrigued enough to keep reading but it was worth it.

Kepnes put the reader right into the thick of Joeā€™s obsession from page one. With that being said, I feel like this loses a lot of the suspense present in her other novels, and makes it clash tonally with the other books in the series, as well as one major difference in characterization. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it.
