2008, All I can say is WOW what a page turner.. I mean it's full of surprises that knocked the breath out of me.. I so love surprises !!!
Just like Koontz, James Patterson and I have an iffy relationship but I have to hand this one to him, it was pretty entertaining.
Unlike his other stories this one was everything but predictable. The twists and the ending were pretty satisfying as well, that’s usually where his novels fail for me.
Overall it was a quick and entertaining read.

The book had a slow start for me. I know it's a page turner but it took me an inordinately long time to get through it. It was a great concept, a little reminiscent of the movie Basic Instinct... I liked the idea of the plot and the characters however I didn't love how it was executed. There were a couple of unanswered questions and the ending felt a lilttle abrupt and slightly unrealistic.

Fast paced, but I kept thinking there were some inconsistancies... Why if she's a black widow was there such a gap between her first kill and the ones featured in this book? Why did she have two guys on a string at once? It just all seemed a bit far fetched - it she'd been killing regularly over the years, then got trapped and caught I'd have found it a bit more believable...
I honestly don't remember this book at all, it's been a while since I've read it. I will have to add it to my getting-ridiculously-out-of-control to-read list.
I am about halfway through and I am not impressed at all. I might have to just move on. So many books, so little time. Why waste it?
Not one of my favorites by JP. As always the Twista and turns and surprises that we're in this book we're unsuspecting but unfortunately we're not as satisfying as some from previous books. It took a while for me to be drawn in in this particular story but only enough for me to want to know how it ends. I had to switch to audio for this book since it was so hard to physically read.
Every James Patterson book that I have read so far has always been good and i'm a little sad that this one was such a disappointment. I liked it I just didn't love it. But that's my personal opinion.
