Oh my god I actually loved this so much. I think this was the perfect introduction for me into the world of Lorde and she has gained a super fan out of me!! The prose section was so engaging I didn’t want it to end; and the poetry then served as a great timeline of world events and how they lined up with Lorde’s personal life.

A beautiful introduction to Lorde's work. The combination of poetry, politics, and personal writing demonstrates how the genres were intertwines for Lorde and serves as a great way to start thinking with her as a philosopher and artist.
