4.5 stars. As far as celebrity memoirs go, this one is near the top. Honest, hilarious, and genuinely well-written, Busy simply "sparkles," as she puts it. The audiobook was stellar.
emotional funny inspiring reflective sad medium-paced

It did not only hurt a little. It hurt a lot. Lol. I loved it though.
funny informative fast-paced

LOVED (audio version). I didn’t expect to be impressed at all, and I ended up being fully invested and now I’m sad it’s over. Biggest criticism? Bad title. It should have been called “This Is Who I Am Now.”

Wasn’t sure what to expect for this book but I loved it! Busy’s raw and vulnerable story telling was so addicting to listen to. I’m definitely more of a Busy fan than I was before! Highly recommend the audiobook, hearing her story direct from the source was really powerful

LOVED. EVERY. WORD.

3.5.
I found this one overall a fun read, mixed with some serious moments and important issues. It felt a little short to me- especially the end, it just felt like she skipped over kind of a lot of years. I enjoyed getting to know her better though and appreciated her candor and honesty, even at points where it did not put her in the best light. It is extremely conversational, which at some turns is great and at other times can be distracting.

+nostalgia
+interesting stories/facts/connections
-harsh/overconfident/in your face tone
-celebrity culture

I was REALLY enjoying this book until the last few pages ......

- which made the entire ride seen to all lead up to plug her (now cancelled) late night show.

Was all that other stuff sincere?

While the writing was decent, now that I have finished the book I feel that I somehow BEEN HAD!

3.5 stars.
The first chapter hooked me and and I really liked when she talked about being a woman in the business (and in life.) I also appreciated the personal stories, but it could drag a little when it was the blow by blow of things. It felt like the book could have benefited from an editor that would focus the narrative in a little. That said, I enjoy Busy's voice and a couple days later I am still thinking about parts of the book, even though I have gone on to read other things.
