The dedication to Elizabeth Warren of all people. Ruth Bader Ginsburg or literally anyone else are way better than her.

The stories are fine. They get straight to the point of what each lady has done and are good for smaller children.

Starting tearing up the minute I read the dedication. Love love love.

This book is so important for young girls (AND BOYS!!) to read. I read it to my 3yo son and changed some of the pronouns for him.
informative inspiring fast-paced

This picture book has bite-sized bios of female historical figures. It’s a nice primer to get children interested in learning more about each of these women. The illustrations are gorgeous, too.

We see snapshots of several female historical figures with quotes and soft illustrations. I think this is a timely book that will inspire readers and those wanting to learn more can do further research.

For: readers wanting a book about women in history who overcame many obstacles.

Possible red flags: readers may want more information than this book gives.

“Persisted” is a big word to have to explain to little people. This book takes a tremendous stab at illustrating this big, powerful word. There is a wonderful representation of a variety of women who persisted through their respective obstacles and prevailed. A must read with your young girls – and boys!

I wanted to love this book, but I honestly just found it to be okay. I love the idea of it - I love that it lifts up women who have made a difference in the world, but I found the information in it to be lacking. It doesn't give much history behind any of the women, and really doesn't tell a story. I suppose it would be a good introductory book for very young children (I'm thinking ages 3-4), but my 6-year-old wanted more.

This book gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. An amazing book for young girls!

This is going to be my new go to book as a gift to children.

This book is so important. I'm almost 25, and I honestly have never heard of some of the women in this book. My only issue is that each section is so short and there are no suggestions for further readings.
But, overall this is an important book that all people of all ages should pick up.
