I actually really liked the story.
I honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Maxime and Vlad are a very enticing couple. They do not banter but have endless discussions, which is quite refreshing.
I also like the plot and can't wait to see what will happen.

Loved the story, world, setting, and characters. I liked the secondary romance in book 2 a lot, although the focus on it instead of the main couple made the pacing feel off.

I've always loved a sexy villain, and Kingsley definitely delivered. Kinda scared to see how the next one ends, but I'm excited to read more.

This book was good, I really enjoyed this take on Dracula. I loved the enemies to lovers and falling for the villain trope. Throughout the book the mc is challenged in what she can accept morally and is challenged by Dracula. They see parts of themselves in each other and see one another in a way others can’t. It was fun to see how their connection grew throughout the book. I’m curious to see how much of Dracula’s true self Maxine is willing to truly accept in the next book. Dracula and Maxine had good banter and had insightful opinions that made you think. I also think Maxines empath abilities are fascinating and unique, I haven’t read a book with that type of empathic ability before. I enjoyed this book and will have to read the next.
