داستان کوتاه عجیبی بود. در تمام مدت خوندنش یه غمی داشتم. شاید دوباره لازم باشه بخونمش. کمی با افکار و عقاید فعلیم متفاوت بود ولی می‌ارزید خوندنش.
ولی جدی اگر یه بچه‌ی ده ساله اطرافتون در حال مرگ باشه چطوری آرومش می‌کنید؟ این سوال مهم‌ترین فکرم در طول خوندن کتاب بود.

This book is so short it can be read in an hour, which is good because it merits returning to again and again. In it, we meet precocious Oscar, interned in a children’s hospital for leukemia. Prompted by a grandmotherly volunteer, he decides to approach each day like a decade of life and describes his journey to a god he doesn’t actually believe exists.

This is all I want to say about it. I know this isn’t more than the book jacket probably says, but the rest is better left found.

Ci sono libri che lo sai da quando li compri come andranno a finire e non solo perchè conosci l'autore, ma perchè ce l'hanno scritto dalla prima riga tipo questo. Però li prendi uguale, li leggi uguale, ma a dispetto delle nefaste aspettative ti lasciano comunque qualcosa, tipo questo.
