Kind of excited for the next volume because of the last few panels here. We see XXX making plans and XXX putting a stop to things.

WHY IS EVERYTHING GOING WRONG?
When Kou ~finally~ decided he liked Futaba and was actually going to end things with Narumi, THAT GIRL WENT THAT LOW TO GET WHAT SHE WANTED. I'M SO ANGRY. I'm glad Futaba stopped chasing after Kou and decided to give Touma a chance (every chapter I come to love him more), but I really want Koutaba to work out! Why can't things be right for once? Why things have to be so complicated? I'm so upset.

Some great progress in this volume! Yoshioka’s thoughts are reflective of her age and I think her maturity: while trying to immaturely get back at Kou, she is trying to be things which she isn’t, but seems to understand that she is not solid in her own self-image. She reflects on her behaviours and asks herself if others feel this way, and I can remember times as a teen that I too had those thoughts. However I did not like the diet culture aspect of her ‘getting back’ at Kou; you don’t need to lose weight or put on makeup to be more feminine or desirable, but I understand her age plays a part in those thoughts. Kou is still behind and doesn’t know what he wants. He isn’t quite in a place to accept himself or Yoshioka yet and that’s ok; I just hope he develops more in the next volume.

bruh them being under the shrine building like in middle school gave me butterflies...but i like how Kaminato is being upfront with Kou. their bromance needs to prevail.
i loved how Toma told her that she doesnt need to change. that she should be herself. his love confession was actually really sweet and nice. his friend, Uchi, is really wingman-ing hard and the fact that I think Yuri likes him is even better haha
