Jack Townsend = George Clooney, if George was slightly less famous and had a Die Hard franchise, Y/Y? I appreciate this.

The Alaska setting was completely new to me and therefore very enjoyable. Plus all the action and Meg's well known wit--it's a great book.

I've learned that having a baby in the house can make it a challenge to actually finish a book. I managed this one! It was the perfect book for me - fast paced, required very little thought and likable characters. Very cute story - who doesn't want a dreamy movie star sweeping you off your feet?

A fun, quick read. About what I was expecting from a ChickLit book.

Maybe it's because I just read Ever Boys Got One and loved that one so much that I found this one slightly disappointing. The story was mostly fast-paced and I enjoyed the sharp wit of Lou, but there were some extras that seemed to get more time than needed (we get it, Melanie or whatever her name is is crazy). Also, the fact that every woman in the story was all I NEED COMMITMENT! MARRIAGE IS THE ONLY WAY FOR A WOMAN TO LIVE! was a little disappointing. Lou seemed like she was such a kick-ass character, fighting against the glass ceiling and all that, but in the end she gave up because of some good sex. She still kept her career, which was a redeeming feature for me, but the fact that she was so obsessed with being married, not so much.

Also, and this is a strange thing for me to be picky about, but the fact that they didn't practice safe sex bothered me. Yeah, sure they're adults, but the jokes about STDs...not funny. And I know that this book is geared towards adults, but I guess I still have a YA perspective. I just expected Lou to be a little more worried about this fact, like when they got back to the hotel room where I'm assuming condoms would have been available?
