Not as funny as I had hoped but still good.

I wasn't a big fan of this book, which was a little disappointing as up until now I had really enjoyed all of Meg Cabot's books. I think that this was maybe one of the first books that she had written. It just seemed really jumpy to me.
I'm glad that her writing style has improved!

I've learned that having a baby in the house can make it a challenge to actually finish a book. I managed this one! It was the perfect book for me - fast paced, required very little thought and likable characters. Very cute story - who doesn't want a dreamy movie star sweeping you off your feet?

It was just okay. Some funny bits, a decent premise, but the would-be killer was too far-fetched and the relationships felt kind of forced and one-dimensional. I love Meg Cabot, but this wasn’t her best.

This book was fabulously fun. Is this chick-lit? I guess I'd say chick-lit, romance-lite, adventure!
This book was cheesy, wonderfully so. Like, the really yummy, superprocessed nacho cheese. It was kinda over the top, and I loved it. I actually laughed out loud and clapped in happiness several times while reading this. Yeah, seriously.
SADLY I looked at the author's other books, and they appear to be very typical chick-lit.

Yes, I read this book. I won't deny it. It was fun. However, I thought this book was one of Meg Cabot's chick lit books. But no, it was really truly a far-fetched, steamy romance novel. The writing and plot were much less respectable than is generally true of her chick-lit novels, which, although very silly, are still well-done.

Romantically cheesy and cliche, yet well-written. A chick-flick, novel-style. I see others wrote it was a good beach book. I think that about sums it up.
