This is a fun Batman adventure that involves Batman going on a roadtrip with Two-Face. It's a little more light-hearted than other Batman stories, but overall, I enjoyed it. It jumps around in time a lot, which can be a little confusing.

Batman's got the opportunity to erase Two-Face from Harvey Dent, he will pick him up and take him to a house, but Two-Face offers a lot of money for the ones that have the nerve to kill Batman. This arc is like a road trip, we can see Batman fighting against different enemies as he continues his way to the house.

This is not a bad story. Scott Snyder write Batman with a combo of fun and grimness that most can't match. That being said, there's something familiar about the conclusion and that's the convenience of everything wrapping up in a manner similar to his previous Batman run. It's as if he does such a great job laying out the experience of Batman that he can't quite figure out a way to make sense of the story. Case in point: Harvey/Two-Face's conclusion just rings hollow.

Read this as issues #1-5.
Loved this story. It's not linear, which did make reading it as issues a little tough (would have likely been a better read as a collected trade), but it definitely kept you thinking. I love how I wasn't sure where the story was going next. It was different, but in a good way.
The art was amazing, and the expressions between Batman and Two-face were so well placed. No dialogue needed.
It's not a comic for everyone, simply because the story is so convoluted, but I would definitely add it to any comic book fan's Must-Read Batman List.

Batman and Two-Face go on a road trip ... with slightly higher stakes. Romita's artwork fits very well, and Snyder once again showcases new interpretations of Batman's rogues gallery. (e-galley from Netgalley)

Hmm. I wanted to really enjoy this! &, in bits & pieces, I did. The art is great at many points, the colors are fantastic. The story wasn’t my cup of tea. I know this is one of those YMMV things, depending on how you like your Batman to be portrayed. I did find his lighter mood refreshing & the overall feel of the story different. I loved finally being introduced to Duke, a character I didn’t know about until his brief appearance in the latest run of Batman. I have volume 2 so I’m going to push through & finish this out. I don’t hate it, it just doesn’t rank to me as one of the best Bat stories I’ve read.

This batman story is a great example of what I love and hate about modern comics. The story is a cool concept of batman trying to get two face to a destination while every mercenary/assassin is after batman. The writing, characters, everything on Scott Snyder's end was great. However I don't know if this is Snyder's doing or DC's but I'm getting sick and tired of these secret origin stories and having retcon's again. I don't know if it's because of the rebirth launch or what but its frustrating. I don't want to spoil it but they changed Two-Face's and batman's relationship/origin again, which is very annoying. Also I'm not a fan of John Romita's art style either. Overall what should've been an amazing batman book but it was dragged down by retcon's and an mediocre art style

This one asked too much. I can suspend my disbelief to a point, but this one didn’t make sense.
Every single person has a secret they would kill to keep? Doubtful.
Batman dragging Two-Face halfway across the country to find a cure? Silly.
Batman being beaten to a bloody pulp and should have died ten times over? Because I’m Batman!
