If I could give this book 6 stars I would. Oh my fucking god.

I’ve taken a break from the plated prisoner series for about a year and I was worried coming back in I would be lost. Within literally 20 pages I teared up and was back with Auren and her story. I don’t want to give any spoilers but this is by far the best book in the series, I could not put it down and the three character stories were following were all so beautifully constructed and game together in such an INCREDIBLE way at the end I was physically screaming.

If you do one thing this year, please start this series. Gild is hard to read because of the SA and abuse at the beginning but I promise you the redemption arc that Auren has in this series is unparalleled. I cannot WAIT to see how this concludes!!!!!

A bit slow for the first half and then it picked up. I enjoyed the exploration of characters outside of the main couple.

The penultimate book- had some shocks, but also had some plot directions that I figured out well in advance.

the best book in the series

The world building, the twist and turns in the plot. This book really brought this fantasy series to the next level.
