Honestly, wasn’t expecting much with this one (sorry, I definitely judged the book by its cover!!), but ended up really liking it!
While I absolutely love romance books and spicy scenes, I was pleasantly surprised to find I enjoyed the FMC’s journey in self-discovery more than anything else in the plot (like her love for her brother’s best friend). I’ll admit some parts were very cheesy, but… that’s ok sometimes! It worked here.
Spice was… not existent, but there was a bit of angst.

This was cute! Nothing earth shattering and a little cliche but I read it for a quick feel good read and it was exactly that! Also when the book started and the main character loved Bake Off, Queer Eye and was afraid of clowns because of watching It… I don’t think I’ve ever related more to a character!
I’m a sucker for a 2nd chance do over, New York, coffee shops, crazy cat ladies, friends to lovers, happy ending. If you like - that this book is for you.
