All Through the Night
4 Stars

This installment in the Troubleshooters is a collection of snippets focusing on events leading up to the wedding of FBI agent Jules Cassidy and his fianće, actor Robin Chadwick. There is also a secondary romance between Robin's assistant, Dolphina Patel, and journalist Will Shroeder (yes, Will from Flashpoint). Many of the characters from previous books put in an appearance, and as such, the books cannot be read out of order.

All Through the Night is a delightful read as Jules has always been one of my favorite characters in the series, and it is wonderful to see him and Robin so deliriously happy together. Yes, there are some angsty moments as they come to terms with their strengths and their weaknesses, but overall, they are a perfect match.

Dolph and Will's romance has potential. However, it takes a back seat to Jules and Robin, so it is woefully underdeveloped. Moreover, the whole "love at first sight trope" is out of place in this particular series.

All in all, a lovely end to this particular story arc, and I look forward to the next book.

I love the whole series, but want to especially point this one out because of the non-traditional central romance. Events revolve around the marriage between Robin Chadwick and Jules Cassidy right after Massachusetts legalized gay marriage. It's a wonderful romance with some intriguing suspense and I particularly applaud the author for taking the risk in this and in her series in general to include gay characters in her mainstream romantic suspense novels. I've been in love with Jules and Robin since they were first introduced and to see their happy ending play out through the series has been an abiding joy. I wish more authors were as brave. Oh, and the suspense/terrorist/stalker themes in her books are first rate as well.

Yes, of course, I loved it...again. Such a great book. I have to say this is definitely my favorite series. This is not a "perfect" place, everyone has flaws and they are still the best people to read about.

I know...I read this back in 2011 but now that I've been reading this series in order I want to read this again. I loved it then and I'll love even more because I know the people involved more now.

What a fantastic book. I love the characters Jules and Robin, Will and Dolphina and all the rest. I was going "aaawwww" through the whole book. I'm reading these somewhat backwards. I started with When Tony met Adam then this one. And I love the way the author combines the funny and suspense in the books. I have a feeling I will like all the books in this series.

Loved seeing so many characters from the series. I love Jules and Robin and it was great seeing their happily ever after. The pacing was very slow, though. But Suzanne Brockmann is one of my favorite authors, so I'll definitely be back for more.

I wish I could give far more stars than 5 it was that good. The day of the wedding I laughed so hard I ended up having to read in the bathroom and could hardly breathe at times I was laughing that hard. It's rare for me to give a lot of stars for a short story as I normally prefer great tombs of books but this one was so enjoyable it gets a rare nomination. I think out of all the characters, Jules is my ultimate favourite

I actually love this book. This is probably the seventh or eighth time I’ve read it. When I saw I needed to do a book about an LGTB character for my Book Riot challenger I had no clue what to do. For some reason I completely forgot about the Troubleshooters series with a character I love being gay. I luckily remembered it the other day driving to work. I chose to do the book that covers his wedding to his partner (it’ll also count for my book set during Christmas for my Pop Sugar challenge).

Jules Cassidy is a high-level FBI field operative that has planned a strong role in the majority of the Troubleshooters series. He is a fascinating and awesome character. There were several of the books I read just because he was in it. His partner is Robin Chadwick, an actor, recovering alcoholic, and a gay man who came out of the closet in a very big way. The two have had a really rocky relationship, actually no relationship – just a lot of wishful thinking and sex, over the course of I think three or four books. They actually share an ex – Adam Wyndahm. They decide to get married and this book covers the proposal, prep, and ceremony.

Suzanne Brockmann actually does a fantastic job of winding three or more story lines together. There is the main story line – the men getting married, but there are actually two or three secondary story lines that occur. There is a reporter who crashes the engagement party and falls in love with their assistant Dolphina. There story line plays a major role as the reporter is cover the story of the wedding. Third, Adam starts causing trouble with his idea he is being stalked and they are after him and Robin. The three story lines intermix and intertwine effortlessly. There is drama, stress, and emotional upheaval all through the book. Adding to the mess is the President rsvping to the wedding. As Jules and Robin know a lot of Navy SEALS, counterterrorist experts, and have friends in the terrorism field, there are some issues with the President attending the wedding. The final icing on the cake is the renovations the house is under, with people often getting accidentally locked in rooms due to faulty doorknobs.

I think my favorite thing about Suzanne Brockmann’s writing is her phrasing. Some of the way she phrases things is hilarious and I often find myself laughing at how she decides to describe different characters and events. It’s not street slang or anything like that, just crazy good phrasing. Like I mentioned before as well, she intertwines multiple story lines in an effortless way that keeps you engaged throughout the entire book. I didn’t give this book a five only because I’ve read her other works and I know she does a lot more complex, involved stories. This one is an in-between book with a relatively short story and a focused story line. I would recommend reading the other books before this one. You do not get a lot of the jokes or references if you haven’t read the other books first.
