I really enjoyed this book but I feel like it was a little overkill. I understand trying to make it a serial killer, but I think that it could have been done differently. I got tired of reading the same thing every 50 pages. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. The ending was terrific once I finally got to it...I did not guess the killer at all. I like Jilliane Hoffman as an author and can't wait to read more of her work.

So many things about this book irritated me. The dialogue between the cops and teens, the anticlimactic ending, the lack of character development. I figured out the killer pretty easily. And I get that the book was written some years ago, but I still feel like the use of MySpace over Facebook is outdated, as is referencing the World Wide Web on a few occasions.
I watch a lot of CSI and criminal minds type shows so it takes a lot to impress me. Thislot does have a diffulct theme wound around a disturbed mind.
Excellent. Hard to put down. Subject matter made me cringe and feel like I was living the experience. So satisfied with the ending.
Love a good mystery thriller, but this wasn't one sadly.
Way too many American-isms of saying the brand of the thing, instead of what the thing is. "He grabbed the Crest and blah blah". Just say toothpaste!! Too often I was left relying on context clues to figure out wtf they were talking about, due to all the brand names.
Tepid characters and a half-baked plot.

This just made it to three star for me. Mostly due to the ending. It was definitely weird to read about out dated technology like it was brand new but I could get past that. I just felt like there were so many other better ways to go. And while it was disturbing,I've been watching True Detective so this can't really compare.
