Really interesting thriller set inside the conclave to elect a new Pope. Lomelli, the Dean, is in charge of the election but as it progresses long held secrets tumble out and the balance of power shifts between the different candidates. I can only imagine the research that went into this and it moves along once it’s got going, which I thought took a while. Enjoyed the ending, which I thought was nicely done.

Super interesting to learn about the process of selecting a new pope. This book had lots of fun twists and turns but was a bit too dry for me to love more.
