I did enjoy the first two books. However, I was surprised to find the direction the third book took. Because of the plot twists we find out here, a lot of assumptions we had in the first two books forces us to relook at what type of story it was. Book 1 was based on a murder-mystery to be solved. And here, the settings were completely different. There's definitely a lot of more romance in this book than when it started. Personally, I do not think it needed that many spicy scenes. And I was surprised because of the expectations I got from the first one. I would say that it is an enjoyable series overall and a wild ride.

Again the plot felt scattered and overwhelmed by sex scenes. The buildup around Emilia's identity didn't meet expectations, as answers were presented with little conflict. While some aspects felt rushed and loose ends remained, the author prioritized specific fixes over others. Overall, the book fell short of its potential and could have been better.

So this book was the nail in the coffin that told me this series wasn’t for me. It also so happened to be the last book of the series. This book has so much but nothing at all and I couldn’t get into it. Most of this book was really spice, which is weird for it being a YA book, and very little plot that made sense because I didn’t know who was the good guy or the bad guy, I had no idea what was trying to be accomplished, and everything felt rushed and hastily explained. I honestly gave up about 60% in because of how many times this book gave me whiplash. I kept saying after I finished book one and two that I was curious of the next one but I should’ve just saved myself the time and stayed that way. Take my review with a grain of salt because a lot of people like this series I just couldn’t get into it because of how random it all felt when reading it.

I loved the second book so much that I had to read the third one right away.
Throughout this book i fell further in love with Emilia and Wrath. The love they have for eachother, a long with the understanding was lovely to read.
The balance between romance and mystery in this book is perfect.
This has definitely become one of my favourite fantasy series.

Absolutely love this series! The world building and character development was fantastic! The twists and turns in this book had me hooked. Wrath is just delicious and Emilia was a great strong female character! Brilliant series.

A mixed review for this series..

Generally speaking, the story is quite slow.  I did enjoy the twists and turns in the 3rd book, and this could have been oh so much more.  Overall tho, i enjoyed the story of Emilia and Wrath.

The 2nd book was the worst, a tie between 1st and 3rd books.  More happens on the third and is much more fast paced- but overall still slow.  3rd book is spicy, 1st book tip toes around it all.

I'd consider reading spin off series..

Not sure if it was how my trilogy downloaded, but my 3nd book had a lot of grammar, typing, and font errors throughout the story.
