Emma is bullheaded and will not give up on losing herself for a man or a job. She is stubborn and thinks through everything, sometimes over thinking. Now Marcus got a little of what he deserved. He never experienced rejection and now he has. I'm glad Emma doesn't always fall and lose herself with a man, but she's also pushing away a great guy who came from nothing. She just needs to learn it's okay to fail and step out of the comfort zone when trying new things. Change could be a good thing. I cannot wait to read the second book.

I binged this at work LOL it was interesting to say the least however I gotta hand it to the author because I started and finished it in one day

This story moved very fast. A few days, and this guy is already trying to get the heroine to move in with him. I am grateful that he wasn't chasing the heroine and the woman the matchmaker introduced.

Absolutely amazing duet. I could not put it down. I loved Marcus and Emma.
5 stars for Wall Street Titan by Anna Zaries. This is book one in the Wall Street Titan series. This book is filled with witty banter so be ready for that. I loved Anna Zaries concept for this book. The whole opposites attract/ accidental encounter thing. However, I was not a fan of Marcus for about three fourths of this book, I’m not going to lie. I did not think he deserved a woman like Emma. Just saying. He does redeem himself eventually. I read this whole book in one sitting. I could not put it down I was hooked.

Good idea, but wow, was this book boring. Absolutely zero chemistry, and I normally love pets in stories but these pets just added a weird dynamic. Hard pass.

This is a love story of the rich man and the poor girl. You expect for the man to come in and be her shining knight.. and he does try but the heroine isn't your usual helpless dame. She's not about the money or resources that could be given to her. She's independent to a fault, low self esteem. Always wondering why he could be interested in her.
I can't wait to see how their story unfolds.

I'm going to review the duet because it honestly feels like it should have been just one story. I liked this duet well enough. I got a very Fifty Shades of Grey vibe without all the BDSM stuff. She even mentions the book at one point so I know it was probably a big inspiration for this book.
Marcus and Emma are cute together, and the writing wasn't bad. But I really didn't feel like much HAPPENED. It felt pretty surface, a lot of sex, and some stalker tendencies thrown in for good Christian-Grey-measure. I began to get really fed up with Emma's aversion to Marcus's money, and annoyed with Marcus's behind the scenes manipulating.
The cats were cute, and there were some swoon worthy moments. But ultimately, it was just an okay read for me.
