Eh. I thought Emma was whiny, stupid, and ridiculous. And Marcus has his head so far up his ass that he's hard to like.
And the event at the end that causes all the drama was just utterly overblown bullcrap. On both their parts. My eyes rolled so hard I got a headache.

I was so absorbed by the storyline that, I failed to notice that the book ended abruptly until a few seconds later. That's when I saw the glaring ‘The End’ at the bottom.
Cue the realisation, “Oh! There's a part two then.”
To be honest, it was a cute and fluffy read but I did not feel that the story had to be dragged into two books.
There were no complications in the plot and everything was going well. Emma and Marcus truly suited each other and had a good chemistry brewing between them. I honestly did like this book but, I'm not too eager to grab up the part two right now. But, I'll surely be on lookout for new books by the author.✨

Marcus is a hedge fund go getter from Wall Street and Emma is a sometimes editor and a retail store employee. Their meeting is so unlikely that it can only be fate.
Their journey is so topsy turvy that the reader can't let go, I couldn't stop reading because I needed to see what happens next.
Oh and that ending! I can't wait for the next book in this series!

This book took me on a surprise ride - one of which I enjoyed immensely.
I've never read an Anna Zaires book, nor do I think I've heard of her. Yet, this book was SO GOOD! It was literally, almost perfect. There was not a darn thing that was rushed, including the sex. The build-up of their relationship was great, their friendship developed well. We got to know each character and they both developed over time. Their chemistry was off the charts and the tension between them was so good.
I immediately picked up the second book and dived in. That says something HUGE for me! Good job, Anna. You knocked it out of the park with this romance. You have a new fan in me!
