just came across this and wtf??? no offense but this has to be embarrassing as hell for the author
Very interesting read. I loved this book. I liked learning about the early days of Elon’s life as well as all of the struggle he faced in the early days of Tesla and space x.

sad
medium-paced
A balanced mix of insights into Elon Musk's life and the companies he influenced: PayPal, Tesla Motors, SpaceX and even Hyperloop Technologies. A bit technical, a bit inspirational, and a bit futuristic. It definitely helps understand different perspectives on this superadmired entrepreneur and the companies he helped fund / established, as well as the struggles he's come through. A book well written, like a documentary. However, the subject of it makes all the hype about this book: if it weren't for Elon's very passionate passages and rendered visions of making the world a better place, possibly it wouldn't have been so influential for me personally.
Very Interesting read, seems a very smart guy and very driven.
2.5 out of 5 stars
Eh, this book was alright. I learned a few things about the inner workings of Elon musk, but I feel like the author focused too much on how fantastic Musk's technological innovations were/are. It seemed like he addressed very few problems with those businesses and praised Musk a little too frequently. However, I did learn quite a bit more about SpaceX, Tesla, and Solar City which was helpful. I was just disappointed in how the book didn't really touch on Musk's lifestyle much. I guess I can understand this as Elon clearly didn't want to disclose very much personal information, but still, the absence of such content is glaring to me. Finally, I thought the second half of the book dragged a bit when the focus shifted almost completely over to the development of Tesla products. It goes on for a little bit too long and overstays its welcome.
Maybe a biography like this one should have been written a few years later than it was.
Overall, the book lies somewhere between "average" and "decent" for me.
Pros:
Excellent detail on SpaceX, Tesla, and Solar City
Various people who knew Musk were interviewed for this book
Cons:
A little too much praise for Musk's accomplishments
Jumps around in time a bit too much in parts
Little content about lifestyle and personality
Tesla portions of the book drag on a little too much

Not sure about the person itself, but the book is very well written and very engaging
A pleasure to read, not a real pleasure to find out that one of your "idols" is not so nice as he seems.
First of all, I must say, the book is written well, the author did a good job, everything feels objective.
I recommend it, because you get another perspective into the "enigma" which is Elon musk, and I must say that I feel disappointed and (rude to say) disgusted at his behavior.
The truth is, the man changes employes like socks, I understand that he believes that he has an important mission, but you can't discard human beings like a leftover no matter what goal you have.
Human first, then everything else.
Very well worth your time to read.
